Is 3470 good for a motherboard on 3dmark2006?

Taken from a P5N32-E Sli OC guide:

Important to note is if you mount an aftermarket cooler on your SB, you will limit the length of card you can mount in the center PCI slot (The only one you can use for a sound card if you have SLI’d anything.) Thats interesting what about fitting 2 gts 8800 640mb cards?

Dunno, I just quoted that.

The GTX is a bit longer than the GTS though.

IMO dont buy two cards now and SLI later, buy 1 really good card now (or later when you have the money). As then you wont have trouble with the X-Fi sound card.

SLi sounds nice and all the rest but its got a couple problems and buying one GTX is more future proof than 2x GTS's.

the striker is a really good board, but i cant justify the price unless you have some CRAZY overclocking planned! (as we all know the striker is the best!) grapjics card wise you would get pretty much the same performance out of diffrent mobo's with the same card.

so unless you got some crazy overclocking coming your way id say go for the P5N32-E Sli or the gigabyte. the nice thing with having an sli mobo is if you get a REALLY good card now (e.g. 8800GTX) and in a year or two's time when you want more performance you can buy another of the same card for MUCH cheaper (maybe even 2nd hand if you want) and sli them for more performance without buying a new card

Both mobo's are greate but i like the Striker the most.Got 2 Striker mobo's and one P5N32-E sli.

I used it for about 6 months more or less.

Hi. I seen lots of reviews now one thing which is better the Asus P5N32-E sli or the Asus P5N32-E sli plus? Also what is the performance difference between the two?

From what i read the plus handles mem slightly better but fsb oc is not as high.

On topic, I dont know if this has been said. ( If you peel back the sticker just above the 3de PCI-e slot on the P5n32-e sli board. It actually has the words Striker-Extreme printed on the pcb.

My asus P975 platinum board broke

so I Bought myself the Asus Striker Extreme. Its got more features but its overclocking isnt as good as the intel 965 and 975 boards, with the striker extreme when you OC your Ram a bit it somtimes doesn't boot at all

even when you clear your CMOS you still have to take out the battrey for over a 2 -3 hours

If you people are spending so much on a Striker then I would suggest getting the P35 mobo, there are a few with ddr2/ddr3 support. Better overclocking and faster than nforce

Hmm... I've only had to move the cmos jumper 3 times on my board. Never taken out the battery. The auto-reboot function that the board has is brilliant, works just about 95% of the time.

I think its the ratio's you're using (cpu : ram speed) which is why you cannot boot your pc sometimes. I've noticed that if you using a good ratio and your ram runs at say 880 instead of 881.5 or something, you have more chance of booting up stabily.

cool ill try it out abit ... but still the most iritating thing about the striker is when it doent boot it says CPU INITon the LCD that is so useless, all it tells you is that your CPU was detected

I think I go with the p5n32sli plus board. It is cheaper than the striker extreme. It gives almost the same performance for less price.

The p5n32 e sli is a great mobo the only thing to remember is if you won't to be doing serious overclocking add cooling to the north brdige.
