Nope - it was lower and more like a sports car. Very low. Wide, and the back had tail fins - really cannot describe it. Will try and find the picture on the net. Be patient. Going to look. It was amazing!!

Something like this but had a fin at the back and was orange. Going very fast so cannot be 100% sure. http://paultan.org/archives/2005/06/12/ ... e-updates/

Really can't find the exact one. Sorry.

And one of my cars is a '91 Uno Pacer. Still runs well but will be trading her in soon :( Your first car always has a special place in your heart. Had a friend with a Black Golf and we had many races in it. At that time I thought it was a cool car. Don't much like the new ones though.

Recently bought a Honda Accord and I must say that I've been converted from European to Eastern Cars. Build quality, space and comfort is hard to beat at this price.

Drive a pair of Reeboks! Fuel consumption excellent, maintenance cheap.

In all honesty though, I drive a loaned '97 C200 Mercedes Benz. I'm saving up for a TDi. Time to leave the petrol behind ... hello excellent diesel mileage.

What TDI you going for?

I made the switch to TDI about 10 months ago, and loving it! Have an Audi A4 1.9 TDI 6 speed. Get about 1300 km's to a tank! 8)

Yeah, got a 70L tank.

Go for a Golf 4 rather. Nicer car, better build quality and comfort. If you do go for a Polo TDI, don't go for the Sportline model as they are having endless problems with their turbo's blowing. From about 50 guys from the VW Club I know about 5 whose turbo's haven't blown yet... 8O

I'm leaning towards a Golf 4 actually. I'm a VW/Audi fanatic. My 2nd car was a GTi Mk 2 and it was an excellent runner.

I do feel that diesel will be a good upgrade. I was told that mods are better for a Polo but I beg to differ. Surely the jumbo Golf also has tons of options. Will initially put on rims and install sound anyways.
