Need a case for 2 X 8800 GTX

Post by Minoss »

Hi all

I need a new case for my system with good air flow and enough space for 2 X 8800 GTX cards and a Enermax Galaxy 1000 Watt PSU.The probleme with the shark case is my 8800 GTX cards run @ 68C - 72C idle @ GPU full fan speed.
Got 2 x 120mm fan's in it.

Any Help?

you win the lotto or something? Get someone to build a custom case...
Alternatively mod the top cover and stick in a 20cm case fan right over the video cards.

That temperature is about right if not rather great. In SLI you're not going to get 58'C idle temps... Its either you go watercooling of you have A/C blow directly onto GFX card

Would also like to know cause if I am to upgrade to 8800, I surely don't wanna find out too late that it won't fit in my case...

Apparently that case doesn't even fit a 7950GX2 (there's a thread about this), so I wouldn't have much hope of it fitting an 8800GTX. Rather try the P180.

1.The p180 I have try but:
2.If i fit one 8800 GTX Card i can't fit hdd into the top bracket, just it the bottom bracket but i got 6 hdd to fit in the case.
3.I don't think 2 8800GTX won't fit in to the case.

Take2 and Prophecy stock the CM stacker, but they're out of stock (Say that 3 times quickly). They'll be in around the end of March.
