security forum limitations

Post by PHR33K »

Ok, with the now ex-hotspots thread I would like to know the following:
So what exactly are the limitations of the information/knowlegdge can I divulge in this particular forum, taking into mind that the best way to protect yourself is to understand totally how the hackers/crackers do things.

Well if you think...

If by practicing the 'posted' advice you would be breaking the law, its probably not allowed on the forum. Regardless if its to counteract as there is no controlling who reads the forum.

There, simple hey

no.
Understanding the techniques used is not breaking the law. But you have hit the nail on the head with "there is no controlling who reads the forum" - THAT I am aware of, yes.

the more people that know about the tactics and what-not that black-hatters use the greater the over-all security would be.

So I can understand how my explaining how to get free access into wifi hotspots and stealing peoples logins was inappropriate to the wrong people, yes.
