Seeing as the Focus RS will have 330HP with a 3.2 V6 turboed of course.
Or an M3 with 333hp on a normally aspirated 3.2L engine.
335hp isnt that low. Skylines are always released with lowish power. Japanese sports cars are fine tuned in terms of drive train, suspension, etc so even with less power they can keep up cars with 100hp+ more power.
Watch "Best Motoring" DVD's and you will see their near standard Skyline R34 keep up and beat porsches, Ferrari's and other cars on race tracks.

No doubt, but I'd expect at least 400hp on a 3.5l twin turbo. I spose they can turn up the boost.
Well I doubt it will have 335hp... probably end up with 280hp cos of japanese restrictions... but with a small mod it will be the 335hp in europe and america.
Skyline is my favorite, if you do the right stuff to the engine you can do more than 390km/h, but then again you can do that with any car..
The Skyline has 205 KW due to the Jap restrictions, but it has more than 260 KW!
The Skyline NUR' is based on the race version which is called the N1, the engine is based on the N1 racing unit which has a specifically prepared block, pistons and connecting rods. Unrestricted, the N1 engine will push 450 BHP!, so to MEET regulations NISSAN has restricted and rated the car to 280 BHP, but with a little tuning it can make much more than 450 BHP
BT20V wrote:Cabs in Japan are not allowed to push more than 206KW from factory, and for that reason the power figures are so low...
That's why a Toyota Supra 3.0L Twin Turbo only pushes 206KW...rulez & regulations
i honestly did not know that but is it illegal there to tune ur car once u bought it (in japan), to go over 206? i was wondering y the 350Z's power wasnt so awesome.
Its true that regulations restrict manufacturers from releasing cars with more than 206kW...however that does not stop the manufacturers from making engines capable of a lot more power. For example there are tuners that get 1000kW from the Skyline engine. Yes thats right 1000kW, from 6 cylinders and 3 litres...makes the Veyron (16 cylinders, 8 litres, 4 turbos, 1000hp) seem kinda crap...
Whats also awesome with Jap cars, is that when you buy one, its not the end of the story. Its more like a LEGO set, you start of with something, and then you can buy bits and pioeces to make it something completely different. For example, take the Mazda Rotary 13B engine. You can release something like 40% more power just by changing the exhaust! I mean..THE EXHAUST FFS! You could do it yourself in your garage, and you would only need like a no.12 spanner, and about an hour, and you have 40% more power! Show me one German car that can do that?
