Atleast I have finished alot of games. As of late I really just had to sit down and force myself to finish them. I'm not so sure that games are becoming less interesting. Maybe it might be that even if it is a new FPS with fansy physics and adjusting AI levels with portals and gravity tricks the end result is still that same. Its an FPS.
...or it might simply be that I have found a game that I like to play at the cost of time for other titles.
I think my main reason for not finishing games I buy anymore is because I suddenly got a job and I cna afford more than 1 game a month or if the next month comes I can get a new game. Trying to conquer all games isnt living up to expectations. I loose interest in my games alot as of late.
2 Games I pushed myself into finishing was Prey and TR legends. Both good games but they failed to keep me pinned. This is becoming more and more commen with games these days.

Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit II
Need for Speed: Most Wanted
I will admit, however, that I bought these games for the multiplayer aspect. There are other games that I haven't finished but I won't list them because I didn't even attempt them in the first place, bought them for LAN purposes only. However, I have finished every game I bought with the intention of playing the single-player campaign (admittedly there haven't been very many).

Cupis, are you referring to the mission where you only start with like 3 or 4 SEALS, and then you have to rescue some men and detroy the Tesla Coils?

If you loved C&C so much then get hte First decade. It might have hte EA *shivers* logo on it but most of it is the true Westwood style C&C.
I can remember alot of games that I was stuck on but eventually got past. The first time I completed the original C&C was surprizingly on the playstation. Sit through a mission without a save option and come out victorious at the end... what a feeling That was still back when eskom maintained their stations. Trying it now might be different.
Cheaters never prospor is how it goes right? Dune2 had a trainer patch that did just that. Infinite money meant you had to deal with contructing against time. And I could never finish the 3rd mission with that on. Eventually after getting rid of that little hack I finally managed to complete the game. 6 months stuck on a stage only to find out it was an cheat making me suffer.
Still looking at strategy games I am sad to admit I havent finished Starcraft Broodwar yet. I made it up the Zergs 6th stage where you had to destroy the science facilities. After that I got bored and it became a minor concern.
*hides in shame*

You know you can't finish Sims, don't you? Of course you do...Acidkidsa wrote:Oblivion

Empire Earth 2
Fallout 2
Sims 2
Vampire The Masquerade Bloodlines
Blitzkrieg
I have started so many games tha I never finished it's not even funny. I get bored with a game very quick and the move on to something else.
Just when I got the hang of life they changed the rules.
Eerr actually I did not know that you cannot finish Sim2.. ?Why because I only played it for like 2 hours and did not like that type of gaming! I gave the game away after that.Y0da wrote:You know you can't finish Sims, don't you? Of course you do...Acidkidsa wrote:Oblivion

Re: Games you never finished
I can see how baldur's Gate would be boring now, it was my first real RPG back in the day, man it was awesome, after 5 minutes I was hooked like a Herion baby. I played the entire game at least 3 times. I remember I'd sit for ages rolling the dice to get the highest roll.StarBound wrote:Everyone is always talking about the new game and hte next biggest thing to hit your pc screen but looking back ( to my left actually) I see all those games sitting on my shelves that havent been finished and probibly wont be or either they might end up being finished a few months down the line if I am lucky.
Baldur's gate - It cost me R200 because I wanted to play it and now I am still stuck in Naskal waiting on some spark of influance to get me playing it again. Its been 2 months now!
But Dungeon Seige + Exp and Gothic II are RPG's I'll never finish amongst many other games.
