Why do you think it's being hailed as the greatest ODI ever played?

there's much more pressure on the side batting second when chasing a big score and pressure cud cos tht team to choke.

Smith started nicely - now we must just wait for him to get out on 49 ...

Hell this must be an all time record. SA is better than Chuck Norris. We are the only team to take all 11 wickets in a test match. Normally only 10 are required.

We have won by 4 wickets. We are now placed as the 5th best team in the world by the ICC.

You are right about Ntinii! Kallis is also right up there, now taken 200 wickets and scored 8000 runs, needs a few ( two, I think?) catches to be in the 200+. Only him and the great Gary Sobers!

Yeah thats a very elite club, i dont think there will be many players that will fall into that stat

Top5 Allrounders for Tests
1.Freddy Flintoff
2.Jacques Kallis
3.Shaun Pollock
4.Infran Pathan
5.Daniel Vettori

So also having these 2 allrounders really help!
We should really be right behind the Aussies, we have the players but i dont think we have the attitude, or maybe its a confidence thing :?

Here's to a much improved West Indies team. Hopefully they can put the horrors of the past while to rest. They still lost their first of the series to India , but it was very tight and better fielding from them would have seen a very different result. :)

Chris Gayle is one of the most explosive batsmen in world cricket! He's one of my favourite players. 8)

PS - Maybe one of the mods could rename this thread to "The Cricket Thread", seeing as all cricket discussions happen here, not just SA ones.
