My benchmark score - Any good?

Hi guys,

I only have 3DMark 2001, as I dont have an ADSL line to download the latest one, so had to use it.

My score is 18532...is that any good? Not sure about this kinda thing, so wanted to know. Check my system specs in my sig...

you should be getting at least 21000 with that setup.. probably more!!
have you changed your radeon drivers settings to high performance in ur catalyst control centre?

there is already a 3dmark 2001 thread!!
Im too lazy to scan my signature in!!!

3DMark'01 is an outdated benchmark for the hardware you're running it on.

You should probably be getting more with that setup, but remember that the program wasn't designed for your technology.

Hmm...I guess so. In 3DMark2001...I pretty much set up settings on high with 4x AA. Didnt even know there was a 3DMark2001 thread!! Will have a look see for it! Thanks!

Ya 3dmark 2001 is VERY outdated. You should be trying out 3dmark 2005 with that setup. I reckon you should get about 6500 with that setup in 3dmark 05 which is not bad at all.

It has been on NAG and PCF CDs/DVDs in the past, but I'll be damned if I can remember which ones.

well the 4x AA explains ur score!! disable AA and the score should increase quiet dramatically!

My 5900FX P4 2.6 scores similar scores to my 7800GTX AMD X2 on 3dm01. Not because it is fast, because 3dm01 is so old it isn't relevant anymore. Even 05 is a bit dated with SLI/Crossfire setups and even starts becoming slightly CPU bound with single GPUs.
