What fluid for my Water cooling?

Post by DAE_JA_VOO »

Okay, so as you all know, myself and WiK1D ordered a whole bunch of water coolimg hardware from th states. Now, for fluid i was planning on using beanie's mixture of 90% distilled water, 10% antifreeze and a drop or two of sunlight. But apparently EVEN THAT doesn't stop algea from growing.

So what can i use? I really don't want to have to order stuff from a site. Any ideas?
That guy that used to mod cases. Now I take photos. True story.

I dont know anything about water cooling, but maybe a cap-full of bleach?
I have no idea what bleach will do to your cooling system, but that's what I would kill algea with.

Unfortunately the chlorine in the bleach accelerates the corrosion.

You should use Chocolate Milk...

Why not buy some coolant from Arthur at Synapsys? I've had the Koolance coolant running in my system for 2 years now without changing it and no problems.
