FREE! Visual Studio .Net 2005

Post by Wildberry »

Download your free copy of Microsoft Visual Studio .Net 2005 Express at
http://lab.msdn.microsoft.com/express/v ... fault.aspx.

Check for the download button on the right-hand side of the screen. As you can imagine it will take quite a while to download, but it's worth it. File sizes average 400Mb.

You have the option of downloading it as .ISO files for burning to a CD as well...as far as I know it's a first for Microsoft.

You can all thank me right about NOW!

WiKiD, since you don't know you'll probably not be interested in it anyway. It's software for software developers (aka computer programmers).

Thanks for your interest though! :D

That's cool! All the developer chicks I've met are fiiiine...

Must be cool having a mom who's hooked up with IT, my mom's been in IT sales for like 15 years, but is so computer illiterate it's quite comical...

Software (she's a Sales Manager)... Quest, Remedy, few others I can't remember... Very expensive shyte! 8O She knows all her products backwards, it's just when it comes to operating an actual Windows PC that things go a bit lop-sided.

Big question.

Can you actually compile projects into stand-alone programs with it?

The only VB I've got is Visual Basic 6 Working Model. DUDE, you can't even compile your damn programs with it!

To .exe or not to .exe; that is the question!

Your answer lies here - http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/expre ... fault.aspx

Something bad just happed to me.

I left it to download overnight, and when I got back, I found that I didn't have enough disk space to save it.

Now I have to start all over again.

That sucks man!

Guess you'll have to uninstall Doom3 or something to free some space.

I'm using my dad's PC. It has a 13Gig HDD. It also has only 192MB RAM and a Celeron 600Mhz.

I'm downloading it for my REAL PC at home!
