Esquire distribute the BenQ FP71G+ http://benq.com/products/product.cfm?product=485, which retails for under R2000.
The FP71E+ got a very decent review at toms hardware: http://graphics.tomshardware.com/displa ... index.html ,but it's not to be found on BenQ's website.
According to this webisite: http://axofiber.org.ru/inside/monitor_lcd_panels.php ,both monitors use the same panels so i'm guessing the FP71G+ is just the slightly improved version or the same monitor without the speakers.
Any comments on this?
Toms hardware is the only website i know of that measures the monitor's specifications themselves, so it's the only place i look for monitor reviews.

I bought a BenQ FP71G+ from computersonly about 2 months ago (17", 8ms, no DVI) - Its a really great LCD...one of the best I've used. It also received rave reviews. In my opinion, its the best under R2000.
Another good one is the 8ms LG that PC Zone (in Durban) has. Never used it, but the specs seem to be the same as the BenQ I have, and the LG is also < R2000.

I purchased a 17" LCD from Incredible corruption, R2 000 : 8ms, speakers, a good deal i think and I think it is awesome.
