@ Nerevar: Don't clock it any higher, that is good, and very powerful for games. I doubt the card will last on that clocks and aircooloing for very long, so rather take it down to about 460/1250, and keep it there.Well I overclocked from 430/1200 to 480/1250
I now get 8690 in 3DMark05 and 17880 in 3DMark03
You have to realize that the cards that are supplied from BFG, for example, that comes factory clocked at 460/1300, uses handpicked (by BFG) cores, they have a select agreement with nVidia, as 1 or 2 others, and these gpu's run at the same temperatures at 460-480 as what some other brands do at 430.
I have done many tests, and spoke to quite a few top benchers, to verify this.
My own Gigabyte 7800GTX at 430 (stock) ran say, 47 deg C idle on a specific day. Out with that, in with my two BFG 7800GTX's, and they both ran 460 (stock), but idled at 42 deg C.
Same temps from both BFG's, but some 5deg C lower at a higher stock speed than the Gigabyte. a Few International guys observed the same trend, and so did RRA in Jozie.
So, it is not imagination, be very careful how far you press that card on air, rather provide good cooling, and monitor temps closely
Just a caution.
