FIFA 2006 Official thread

Post by Tel »

I got this game yesterday and I must say this is by far the best version yet! Not just because the graphics are awesome, but also the gameplay is awesome.

Even with better graphics the loading of the game seems quicker than previous versions. And the management side of the game is just in depth enough to make it seem more realistic, but doesn't take away the joy of easily starting a game.

In-game game play has also stepped up a notch making it some much more realistic.

All-in-all, FIFA 2006 r0x0rz! :D

Played Fifa 06. Whilst it is a big improvement from the rubbish that was Fifa 05, it still has a long way to catch up with Pro Evolution Soccer. Got my copy of PES5 2 days ago. What a game.
Use to be a fan of the Fifa series until they released Fifa 03...worst game ever.

Yo Tel

I have the game as wel and would love to play against you online if you ever do. I've played against one buddy online but I found that the game seems to lag for me. Not sure if it is lag but I reckon three secs between pushing the button and anything happening on screen is not playable.

I primarily bought the game to play online against my friends but if I cant play smoothly whats the point? Its been gathering dust for the most part since then.

I did start a managerial campaign as well but I seem to be taking a while to get on my feet with that as well. :/

Just a question, i know this is the FIFA2006 thread, but have any of you played the demo for PES5? If you havent get it.. its on the PCF cover disk... play that for a while and youll see PES5 is the way of the future ..

Ive played FIFA06 and even though its better than than its predicecors... it still lacks something..

Play PES... Fifa's days are numbered!

I found setpieces are better on Fifa... other than that, PES is a cut above all the competition

but the thing i really dont like about fifa is the control.. after playing PES it almost feels unresponsive...

aye, that we must indeed. I just need to put that damn CS:S aside for one night. :?

btw I played some fifa on sat at a LAN and it was actually fun. 2 vs 2 is quite a bit interesting.

Is PES5 out yet?

I have got Fifa 06 which is a really good game, and after reading this thread, I installed PES5 Demo. Well I must say, PES5 seems really good, but the game really does look cheap, like the menu's and options etc.!

On the field, PES5 players are alot more realistic than Fifa 06's players.

What I wanna know is, is there some kind of patch that you can get for the PES5 demo to make it longer?? I hate playing for only 5 minutes!
