My current mobo can't lock the AGP/PCI clocks, thus I'm limited to around 2.1Ghz, and at that the PCI bus is too unstable. End of the month I'm getting a Abit KW-7 though. The GFX card is a Radeon 9700 Pro 128MB wich as you can see is clocked at 370 GPU and 670 MEM with 1.6 volts on the AGP bus.ElDiablo wrote:Overclocking your CPU will give you a much higher score in all of those benchmarks...
My CPU @ 2.2Ghz (not 2.4Ghz anymore - too lazy to edit the sig) gives me 7'256 CPU marks in AM3..
What GFX card do you use?

Depending on the quality of your CPU, it will run stable at around 3.4Ghz without a voltage increase, and would go up to about 4.2Ghz+ with a 10% voltage increaseKillerByte wrote:@MT I also get 12000 with my P4 3.0GHz LGA775 but i want more.
can anybody tell me, how far can I OC my CPU before I need to fiddle with the Voltages?

Eish...
On my baby, I get just over 11500. We are talking old school in computers. P4 478 chip, 3 gig though. Dodgy hynix ram (1gig of it), one suppporting dual, the other not! My al cheapo MSI motherboard, with nothing less than SIS chipset. And my pride and joy : Geforce fx 5700
Theres definitely room for improvement

@wizardofid - Tell me about it. But it will have to do until the end of this month when I will be able to get a 350Watt or better.
@KillerByte - Don't talk about my baby like that. She might just hear you and drop 2000 points. I dunno why I have such a good score on this system but I'm forever tinkering with it, trying to keep it running at optomized speed. What also helps performance is if you create a sperate user account just for games and disable all XP visual effects and crap that you don't need.

Maybe because the Palit 6600 has a 128bit memory bus where the Xpertvision 9800SE has a 256bit bus?KillerByte wrote:Now this really infuriates me. no disrespect Y0da but how in the world does your 2.4 which is **** compared to my 3.0 get such a good score.
Could it be that I am using PCI-E and 3dmark01 doesn't recognise PCI-E?
