Catalyst 3.8 Drivers

My 1st post! Hi all...
I recently installed the new catalyst 3.8 drivers on my machine, and after rebooting i noticed that all my icons on my toolbars had been jumbled up. In addition, i cant change the Smartgart setting from 4x to 8x, and i cannot enable fast write. The previous 3.7 worked well... Has anyone had a similar episode?

I am running WinXP SP1 and have a 2600+, 512MB DDR333, GA 7VAXP, Tachyon 9700PRO etc...

Yo a couple of guys on international forums said that the driver worked fine. However there were a couple of guys that had problems on first install but they used a driver roll back and then uninstalled the previous driver. They then did a complete clean-slate reinstall with the 3.8 driver and then it worked perfectly! If ur doing this please remember its at your own risk, i ain't saying its risky but if you don't know what your doing then don't do it!

BTW the driver is supposed to be extremely good, you gain about 150-300 marks in 3dmark 03 and about 750-900 marks in 3dMark 01! Im d/l'ing it at the moment!
