Lindows is actually now known as Linspire. Might have something to do with MS sueing them even though Lindows won that case.
Basically it's just another Linux distro but concentrating on the user friendliness similar to that of Windows XP. (check out the screen shots: http://www.linspire.com/lindows_news_ga ... screenshot) And NO, it can't run windows programs like windows. That's still illegal but there are ways around that by using windows emulators for Linux. And no, it's not free. You gotta buy it.
