right so my office has been littered with 4 eMacs
1 is a superdrive the rest are just cdroms

so a few questions
1. how do I cannect it to a domain so I have a unified login?

2. Finder has a cute little network browser utility but its not like the MS one (explorer) or the one that is on my linux box

3. connecting to shares on the apple box from a linux box or probably a windows box? now I am under the impression that I will get this to work when I get the network authentication going? I can how ever browse from the apple to other boxes.

4. I am using a linux server running LDAP and SMB (samba) as a PDC (works just like a
windows NT4 PDC) If I login to a windows box using my domain username and password or into a linux box I get authenticated (unified login) can apples do this?

default, unless you are running OSX you are s-c-r-e-w-e-d.
in OSX you have to go to system preferences, and set up your TCP/IP settings under network settings. Very simple to set up.
