Creative RADEON CARD AVAILABLE!

Post by SynthetiX »

I was browsing for the specs on various Radeon cards when I came across the creative Radeon 9700, only problem is that I don`t think there is a SA based company that sells them.

Is there anybody that knows of a company that sells them and at what price?

It`s called the Creative RX9700 Pro.

I`ve seen a pic of the box, but not the card itself.
I would really like it if someone sends me a pic of the board if they come across it.

[ Edited by SynthetiX On Date
February 26, 2003 ]

There aren´t really a lot of differences between the different cards. Mostly it´s just custom packaging, drivers and heatsinks that get the "Creative" treatment, or whatever the manufacturer may be.

The question should rather be : Why hold out for the Creative card?

But that is the whole thing about buying from diffrent suppliers!
When I was going to buy my card I also had a choice! MSI or Leadtek. They both have the same chip on it but are package diffrent. I bought the MSI.
The Msi is far better because of the cooling system on it it runs @ 43C where as the Leadtek card runs @ 61C, so when buying a graphic card that is something to look for. Plus the MSI had far better games. They both do the same thing but MSI, was a better bundle!

That´s because they are made by different manufacturers.

The Creative card, is manufactured by ATi themselves, because Creative doesn´t design their own circuitry for 3rd party video vendors.

Another interesting fact: MSI manufactures video card for Creative, and Creative then just rebrands, and repackages them for reselling.
