I got myself a new PC, and I would like your opinion. Here it is:
 Gigabyte Mainboard SIS650 Chipset
 Gigabyte Maya II Radeon 9700 Pro Graphics
 Intel P4 2.53GHz CPU
 Creative! Audigy Sound Card
 512MB DDR-RAM
 100GB Western Digital Harddrive
 Plextor 48/24/48 CD-Writer
 Toshiba DVD Drive
 Microsoft Wireless Desktop
 128K ISDN
 Viewsonic 17" LCD Monitor
 Labtec Arena Surround Sound Speakers and the whole thing in a blackcase!!!

 get WISP INSTEAD OF ISDN .
 get a bigger harddrive maybe 160gb.
 wait a month and your pc will be old,outdated and slow take it from me!

I wanted 1GB of RAM, but *****ty South Africa wants a f... load for that, Falcon-NW, for example, only want 100$, but it costs 700$!! for them to ship a PC to SA.
 I saved up for about 6 months for this PC, so don´t bring it down...

and spray painting the drives isnt too dificult . . . . youshould give it a bash, an all black case looks sweet. i should know. i spent two weeks spray painting my whole case plus drives everything black to get nice smooth finish. work intensive but its worth it.

OK, I know that you were asking us what you thought but, that is a bit excessive. You have probably scared most of the people on the forum with your incredible machine, no joke, that is one mutha of a machine!!! every little boys dream, weelll, not that little - but anyway.
 
 what´s with the Microsoft Wireless Desktop
 128K ISDN, wouldn´t the wireless part slow it down a bit, not exactly sure what it is, just checking.

nice PC Dude.I just upgraded aswell,but am looking for a new Graphics card.Like a Gf4 Ti4400,or maybe the 4600.but again.NICE PC.
 
 get yourself the inspire 5700 speakers.they are expensive (R4000).But they rock.i am happy with mine,and it´s almost as loud as the sound in my car.and i have kickass carsound.

Only thing that I can think of that would be better than having your pc would be having an entire network of your pc! LAN gaming must kick major bottom with that muther of a pc!

u talk ***** phate...the grafix alone is 6000 plus 3000 for the cpu and a couple of bob for the 17 lcd monitor..thats already above 10 grand without all extras and stuff...so dude...check ure facts..and i just saw a post by u where u sy u getin a far inferior system to this guys for 12 grand...so get ure head outta the clouds and back in ure bottom where it belongs

phate dude - i dont wanna be as rude as the guy before me but id like to say that a 17" lcd monitor alone is probably above 8 grand so it is very doubtful that youd get the pc for 10grand even without the monitor cos the 9700 pro card is around 6 grand alone

 My cpu runs @ 58 C after a few hours of gaming! Is it anything to worry about?
 Will a copper sink drop the temp?

i got the same mobo and ram and proc. as u...my temp stays around 52 under load like a game or summin, but on the hot days this summer my cpu pulled around 65-70 under a game...so ure temps look fine

I live in durban the temp has been about 35 - 40 the past few weeks and my cpu temp has`nt never stepped over the 58 C mark. That is after a week end of intence gaming!
 That is with the case on! If I take a side panal of its sits between 53 - 56C.
 I think yours´Grey Hound´ runs a bit hot!

 Need some help. I got a Abit Silario 64 GPU. The one with the passive cooling system.How would you....the experts.....rate this GPU. I know it is not the mother of all GPU´s but I´m a maried man, and the madam does not appreciate it when spending 2G´s on a new GPU.

Looks Like a good choice in graphics! Although you will never see it shine with sd ram! Get rid of that and get @ least 256MB DDR. To really check if your rig can run games well, run 3dMARK 2001. Its on one of the PC format cover disks or <A HREF="http://www.futuremark.com/" TARGET="_blank">here</A>
