Have you tried this:
Installation instructions
-------------------------
1. These drivers must be installed by a user with Windows 2000/XP Administrator
privileges. Please consult your system administrator or Microsoft
Windows 2000/XP User's Manual for more information on Administrator
privileges.

2. Start Microsoft Windows 2000/XP.

3. From the Start menu, select Settings.

4. Select Control Panel.

5. Select System.

6. Select Device Manager.

7. Under Display adapters, select the name of the NVIDIA adapter you have
installed. If you do not see a Display adapters option, or if your NVIDIA
adapter is not listed, under Other Devices, select Video Controller (VGA
Compatible).

8. Select the Driver tab.

9. Select Update Driver.

10. Select Next.

11. Select Next.

12. Verify that "Specify a location" has a check mark next to it. If it does
not, click in the box next to "Specify a location" to place a check mark
in the box. Select Next.

13. Enter the path to the NVIDIA drivers in the "Copy manufacturer's files
from:" dialog. Select OK.

14. If you get a dialog box that states "A suitable driver for this device
is already installed.", click in the box next to "Install one of the
other drivers" to place a check mark in the box, then select Next.

Otherwise, select Next, then proceed to step 16.

15. Select the following driver from the list. NVIDIA RIVA TNT is used an
example; make sure to select your NVIDIA adapter from the list.

Description Provider Manufacturer Location
----------- -------- ------------ --------
NVIDIA RIVA TNT NVIDIA NVIDIA a:\nv4_disp.inf

Select Next.

16. Select Finish.

17. Select Close.

18. Windows 2000/XP will ask if you wish to restart the computer. Select Yes.

I use the 66.93's myself, with my 6800GT. In 3DMark '03 alone, my score went from 10500 to 10850 just from upgrading the drivers... Aquamark 3 was also about a 1000 point increase, taking my score to 57595.

I've heard of beta 70 series ForceWare drivers... I'm not familiar with the xtreme-g drivers though.

I just use whatever current driver nVidia has WHQL'd.

Don't use nVidia beta drivers guys. I read some horrible things about 'em. It's safer waiting for Microsoft certification.

The 70.20 works fine, and you should get some improvement. I'm using it, and I'm sitting with 68K on AM3 and 11500 on 3DMark03

Hello Dammod,
The best drivers for 3dM03 and AQ3 benchmarking on a 6800U would be the 66.93's.

Nothing better. Got my 3.4EE/6800U combo up to no1 in the world in the 6800U class, been there for the past 2 months already.....I am talking single 6800U , not SLI though.

Try them, they are really good, as well as WHQL certified......

Br,
MrBean.

Gotta agree with MrBean... as mentioned, I use the 66.93's and couldn't be happier.

I did experiment with the Xtreme G 71.20b's for a while, and even though my benchmark scores improved a little, HL2 and CS: Source wouldn't function anymore. Neither title could even recognise my card properly!

Reinstall the 66.93's and voila, everything functions perfectly again.

If you want scores the 75.90 would be best. Specially in Aquamark3. Took my score up by 3K. Works fine in every game I play.
