Chic, stylish or fashionable

don't know lots about 'em but i've heard the batteries for optical ones don't last all that long, chances are you gonna need spares

Id suggest you seriously dish out the extra dough and get the MX 1000 mouse... The Li-ion battery lasts extremely long, is a LASER mouse, not OPTICAL ... It has the exact same speed and accuray as you would get from any top mouse... Even the Logitech 500 etc series...

I've got an MX700, and while the batteries only last about 7 days on a charge, it doesn't worry me... every 4-5th night I just pop it into it's charging base and that sorts the power situation out.

Slasher's right though, the MX1000 is a brilliant piece of kit! :-)

Like they said, the MX1000's the best cordless mouse money can buy.

Once you used Logitech you'll never look at another brand twice.

As far as I am concerned, any mouse other than a Logitech is a waste of money.
I've been an owner of a MX700 for a long time now and absolutely love it. A light starts blinking on it when you only have a few hours of battery life left so you're not likely to ever experience a sudden loss of battery life.

I highly recommend them. I haven't tried out the new MX1000 yet but I am sure it's excellent.
