Make sure you have the latest drivers. Turn your graphics settings to high performance, make sure that trilinear optimisation and anisotropic optimisation is on, close all memory resident programs and antivirus software, defrag hdd...dammod wrote:I really wanna break 13000 but I don't want to OC. What should I do to get it that extra few points. At the moment I am sitting on 12968.
If that doesn't work then try using the latest starstorm drivers from www.guru3d.com, they don't overclock your GPU but do offer a performance increase... just check which ones you use, cause Starstorm usually has 3 types - benchmarking drivers, performance \ quality and then high quality.

Hmm seems the starstorm drivers are old, last updated in Feb 04. I haven't used them for quite a while - you're better off sticking with the latest forceware I guess, but here is a link anyway...

eish thats a big difference in points man, i dont think youll be able to reach 13000 without a overclock, the difference is just 2 much now , overclocking you cpu wont help that much for 03, just overclock your GPU, add a extra 50 mhz on and see what score youll get, it shouldnt damage your GPU at all
when in doubt, paddle out...
does anyone know this site: http://www.3dchipset.com ? they seem to have some nice drivers and stuff on there. anybody tried those? there are Extreme G drivers for Nvidia and Omega drivers for ATI.
Yeah...*shiver* cant bear the thought of OCing my R4850 card.po10cy wrote:eish thats a big difference in points man, i dont think youll be able to reach 13000 without a overclock, the difference is just 2 much now , overclocking you cpu wont help that much for 03, just overclock your GPU, add a extra 50 mhz on and see what score youll get, it shouldnt damage your GPU at all

Nice! That's an X800Pro equivalent score, with a 6800 NU? Those must be some impressive drivers!Jtaute wrote:i tried the extreme g driver for my 6800 vanilla and it has gone up to exactly 10500 3dmarks. it is version 70.something. i couldn't see any glitches or anything yet. try it.

I finally got my other texture pipelines unlocked on my A400 TDH...... And it worked without any problems. I also OC, ed the GPU to 380 Mhz and the memory to 800 Mhz... rock solid and stable.
The scores were as follow:
3d Mark 2003 ................. 10490 (not bad for a R2400-00 card)
3d Mark 2005 ................. 4005 (" " ")
Aquamark3 ................... 52342
Now I got my new A8V Delux mobo and the 3500+ Athlon 64 and the scores went as follows
3d Mark 2003 ................. 10987
3d Mark 2005 ................. 4056
Aquamark3 .................... 61000
And Doom3 was running demo1 1024x768 Ultra detail 63 Fps and after the cpu and mobo upgrade it went to 82 FPS and 86.4 FPS on High detail.....

How did you manage to unlock the remaining 4 pipelines on your A400TDH? I've been looking for softmods and so on, but I've had no luck... I would also love an A400TDH with 16 pipelines!

Well I used Rivatuner (150) if, went to the hardware section where they show NVstripe, not the Driver section. Then you simple reinstall or install at the bottom of that page, select, or mark the box enabling masked hardware, or something like that... It will give you a warning etc and you continue and then you use in that box the customize selection after which you choose the customize button and you'll see the masked hardware. You can enable them, but I'll tell you it will give you a bit of artifacts if you averclack it as well.... I managed to overclack the card to 380GPU and 800 Mem, with the other pipeline enabled and here's the 3D Mark2003 Score ..... 11114
agp?
can anyone tell me, how much performance i would loose from using
agp4 apposed to agp8?
here follows my cfg:
AMD Semptron 2600 + @ 2 Ghz
1024 DDR Kingston 400 Mhz
2 x 160 Gb Sata Seagate 7200 Hdd.
Sony Dual Layer 16X DVDR/W
Pixelview 8X Agp Geforce 5900 XT /w Golden Sample 128 Mb
Asrock K7VM3, 333Fsb, 4X Agp
I also have a Asus A7VM, Board?
Think i should swap the boards?

Yet that can result in a 5 to 10 FPS drop in games......Rayne wrote:Yes it's a small fraction. Nothing 2 worry about.garp wrote:Hi Jamming
as far as I know the performance from 4x to 8x is like 4%
