Video To DVD Software

Post by Thug4life »

I have a bunch of movies of the family that I want to put onto DVD and sent to the relative all around the world. The problem is they are all in .avi format and I need them to be in .vob format to put them onto the DVD. Is there any software to do this conversion?

Hi

I use Power director Pro 2.5 for editing my mpg's. It does avi's as well. it quite easy to learn and you can add transitions subtitles etc.

Then I use Ulead DVD movie factory 2.5 SE to create the disk and menus from my edited mpg's.

I got both programs when I bought my video card and DVD writer, so I did not have to purchase them. Not sure how much they cost tho. As for free ware I am not sure if there is any worth while app's at the moment.

Thanks Hill. That reminded me that I got some stuff with my DVD writer. I will see what I can do with it.

Hi peeps. I want to know if there is possibly any freeware software out there to do just this, convert video files to dvd.

I want to put the smallville episodes on to dvd. Now i'm not sure what format it is in, i didn't get or download the stuff, and properties just tells me it's "Video File".

Any ideas?

I've heard that Pinnaccle Studio can convert DV Camcorder files. I'm not sure if it can do the same with .avi files.

Nero has NeroVision Express. I don't know anything about it (other than that Nero told me to convert files with it before burning to a video DVD), although I am sure it has a similar demo period to Nero.
I thought what I'd do was, I'd pretend I was one of those deaf-mutes.
