ADSL Security problem

Post by Thrall »

One of my engineers discovered that one of Telkom's routers has a default username and password, so if one knew which router (no, I didn't ask him because I don't want to know), one could bump another ADSL user offline while he's idle - and use his bandwidth.

Geez - I can't believe Telkom (of all people) still use routers with default settings *growl*

Maybe telkom should be told of their fatal error!

Maybe the should change their name to KnowItAll-Com... that's pretty shocking Thrall, but PC security in general in the country is. I work for a pretty big company myself and they use default passwords, etc. on most of their workstations, servers and routers too.
