The 22" (and larger) LCD Thread
Re: The 22" (and larger) LCD Thread
I'm still using a Samsung 2232GW. What would be a good upgrade? Would an upgrade be worthwhile if I don't get 120hz?

I guess that depends on what screen size you'll be happy with. I had a 27-inch LCD and sold it to get a 24-inch LED. I'm very happy with the 24-inch screen and whenever I see a 27-inch in a shop, it looks massive and I almost can't believe I actually used one. The only reason I'd get a 27-inch again in the future was if it was a 3D screen.

Looking at small LED, 22" maybe,
what should I look at,
lotsa makes promise being the best, but then some cheaper makes also preform great.

Can't help you there. 23" has 1920x1080 and 20" is 1600x900 for the most part. Dunno if 22" is just 1680x1050.
Gaming screens are around 24" for 120-144hz and your looking at 6k.

Re: The 22" (and larger) LCD Thread
the next monitor im going to buy for my PC is a 4k res TV
http://www.lg.com/uk/tvs/lg-49UB850V
its got one HDMI 2.0 port so it will do 4k at 60hz resolution (3840 x 2160) and i will upgrade my graphics card as well as i will need to upgrade my home cinema amplifier to include HDMI 2.0 at that time
this TV retails at R20k which is really cheap but i have been told that it will drop to around R15k by the end of the year and since im already using a 50" TV as a PC monitor this is just going to improve my resolution at approximately a similar size
im not interested in small tiny size monitors - they seem like toys to me nowadays even if you use multiple ones

Darn capitalist pig!
Yep, jealousy makes me nasty. My trusty old Samsung 19" suffered a stroke and expired. So until I get paid this month, I'm back on my old 17" CRT...
Not fun.
