All about Smartphones and Tablets...
Re: All about Smartphones and Tablets...
Howsit guys,
I recently bought a cover for my S4 which has a magnetic latch.
Does anyone know if the magnetic clip is bad for the phone?
Is anyone having any issues with magnetic covers?

Re: All about Smartphones and Tablets...
Nope - using the S4 S-View cover. It has no magnets though it does stay closed. Perhaps there are hidden magnets....
Re: All about Smartphones and Tablets...
I'm using this one: http://www.rebeltech.co.za/index.php?ma ... s_id=10574
It has a magnet.
I suspect it may be interfering with signal.
Any thoughts?

Shouldn't be harmful, there are magnets built into the phone: speakers/mic

Re: All about Smartphones and Tablets...
I have a magnetic clip on my iPhone cover and haven't noticed a difference when I use it or take it off.

So got an SMS saying my free LTE service was available.
Change 2 settings on my phone, log into my account on the Vodacom site and activate the LTE. Did a speed test and got 15.8MB/S download resutl.
Very happy camper here.

can anyone help me, tried all the settings but don't know where you activate the lights at the top of the phone. I know the S3 has a green light when battery is charged and red for when it is low. Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks

It only activates when the screen is off. Does it not work then either?

*edit*
You don't have a notification LED:

Strangely, there is no notification LED on the Galaxy S4 mini which you might find an annoying omission.
