Roccat Kone XTD gaming mouse
I've looked at a review or 2 and the mouse seems like a good choice however coming from a Razer mouse I've experienced that feeling of having a good working mouse for a year or and a bit before it starts giving its issues.
does anyone have this mouse or have a good/bad experience with the brand?

Re: Roccat Kone XTD gaming mouse
I bought a Roccat (don't know model name) for my GF. She likes it because you can switch the colour of the glow lights. It seems to work fine, no major issues yet. However, the build quality leaves something to be desired. It holds together well enough, but the finish is a bit rough for example the edges of plastic are not completely smooth.StarBound wrote:I've looked at a review or 2 and the mouse seems like a good choice however coming from a Razer mouse I've experienced that feeling of having a good working mouse for a year or and a bit before it starts giving its issues.

*EDIT: I got her a Roccat Kova

Re: Roccat Kone XTD gaming mouse
Logitech, 3 year warranty.
Had a Anywhere MX, at almost 2 years old a button failed. Took it in to the shop I bought it from, they didn't sell the mouse any more so they told me I could get any other mouse to the same value or pay in on something better.
So I got the G700 and paid only R600 in, at the time the mouse was going for R1600.

Re: Roccat Kone XTD gaming mouse
I tried the Logitech G500 but the button layout didn't work for me. I had a G5 and it was awesome! The only reason I replaced it was because ...well, I clicked the buttons paint off. I think I still have it lying around somewhere. Will maybe post a pic of it.
I found that logitechs drivers for the mice though are really crap. I also cannot go back to something that doesn't have 2 thumb buttons. But the Logitech Duel Optical and G5 had to be the best mice I ever owned even with the crappy drivers.

My Cyborg RAT 7 is still going strong after about 2 years. No issues.

Re: Roccat Kone XTD gaming mouse
The G700 is the wireless version of the G500 right? I found those thumb buttons uncomfortable. It's a shame since that is the only difference between the G5 and G500.Hman wrote:G700 has four thumb buttons

Re: Roccat Kone XTD gaming mouse
Nope, completely different than the G500. It can be used wired or wireless.

That thing looks ugly and uncomfortable. I got a hold of my old G5 ...it needs to be cleaned by a biohazard crew or something.

Re: Roccat Kone XTD gaming mouse
Granted it's not a looker, but it is comfortable.
