Hi
A friend is running a Dell Windows 7 laptop that is connected to a network printer.
When you try print to that specific color printer, the PC just crashes and gives a BSOD error "Bad pool header..".
The laptop can print to any other printer on the network fine.
After doing some research, I see it could be driver related.. Not sure though.
Any ideas?

Re: BSOD when trying to print
it's the driver.... remove it and replace with the latest one from the manufacturer, in the correct version, (x64/86)...
that'll be R300....

Re: BSOD when trying to print
99.999% of the time, pool header errors are driver related...
either the driver is one of the generic pre-shipped flavours, the driver install is corrupt or the driver was never shipped with support for the system it was hammered into...
the other 0.0001% of the time, the system itself is unhappy... given that the only time the machine prangs is when using this particular driver, we can happily discount that...
so... that's R600... i accept payment in the still beating hearts of forum mods... or puppies...

Re: BSOD when trying to print
Hehe thanks a lot for the advice.
Thought it might be drivers after googling
Now I just need the client to get back to me so that I can check
