Okay, so I *think* I got Dragonborn, but when I tried to install it... nothing seemed to happen? It says it's installed, but is it really?

I don't get it.
Well that's just super.

Steam installs all expansions and addon content as it becomes available. But to play it you need to buy it. So it will be ready to play once you buy it. Else just start the game it and it will install automaticly if not already installed.

Ah, that both makes sense, and is very cool.

Thanks.

I see Bethesda have done a Skyrim Legendary Edition, all patches and expansions. From the Skyrim fans would this be worth while getting?

Depends on cost, benefit, time and effort to you...
Diehard fans may already have the expansion packs.

Takelots has it for R360 inc shipping. Seems like a good deal.

If you don't have the game yet - absolutely
If you have the game - no, the expansions are cheaper on steam anyway
if you don't like the game - what the hell is wrong with you?

If TA has it for R360 it might be cheaper from BTGames. Also make sure your looking at the Legendary edition because Skyrim is $30 on steam (R285 ...maybe R315 by tomorrow if this exchange rate goes the way it goes).

the scenery is lacklustre without the hi-res patch and mediocre with it...

and the backward console inventory UI makes me regularly want to punch something...

other than that, it's great...

still prefer oblivion

The only reason I still play the game is because of the scenery.

You make that sound like a bad thing. Just because puppy recognises the importance of using pretty packaging because of decades of exposure to Marketing radiation and you haven't doesn't mean that....

It isn't what is inside the box, but how it is presented.;-)

No, i haven't played any Elder Scrolls games for more than half an hour: by thrn, i had lost interest. Probably not consoley enough for my attention spanner.

That's a shame SP. Oblivion felt like a chore playing it. Skyrim I got lost in enjoying the world.

Morrowind I killed something I shouldn't have and I didn't even know where to start my adventure. Just went around pointlessly.

Oblivion I started clearing gates only to find they spawn and spawn and spawn so no way to clear an area of them. Got really old really fast.

Skyrim I always felt like I had something to do while looking around and enjoying the view. Ofcoarse I am still haunted by that time I left a city only to be jumped by a dragon, 3 bears and that pack of wolves.

I loved Oblivion - and you could clear the gates :D got them all in fact. Loved it - but I love Skyrim more. Puppy and I agree to disagree - I enjoy Diablo 3 too  (waits for the rant)

Wait for the steam specials to hit. Or get the legendary edition. With the exchange rate being what it is you might be better off doing it that way.
