I read TCO as tacco.

I must say, I have not had any problems with ASUS, and its the first board I recommend. Have not had any failures with it. One of my friends also only buys ASUS boards. Another got an MSI that died after 3 months and its replacement was DOA...not good.

I've always seen ASUS as the overpriced product while MSI is my flavour of choice. But I can go anyway if the thing I am looking for is not available as MSI.

Was disappointed by Asus' continued support for older hardware. Had to go buy a new motherboard so I could fit a new CPU at the time, while other manufacturers rolled out the required drivers. And it is not like the motherboard couldn't in principle support the CPU. Same goes for Realtek drivers when Windows 7 came out. Had a hard time trying to get the onboard sound to work and their Forums had virtually no participation by actual Asus people. :/

Needless to say I didn't go for Asus again on the new motherboard. They lost a customer. Shame really, as I always regarded them as having quality hardware.
