Must say the US servers have been gloriously free of lag and error for a solid week now

I see some EU guys coming across... Thrillseeker played thru a bit of Act II Nightmare with me last night...

given that the ping to the US servers isn't markedly worse than the EU farm, and that the US servers don't present login issues, i may actually default there...

EU service shows zero signs of improving

Diablo 3 Official!!!

Post by Animal »

Installed it last night- took forever. Also got the Error 37 but tried again and it connected. Playing on a 384 line without any issues so far.

Are you guys playing alone, with friends or on the public server?

check the forums and you'll note they're still posting thousands of "i killed belial/butcher/whoever and got nothing" threads...

also, i truly, deeply, madly want to eradicate the WoW community... how they let those things breed, i will never know...

wow... just.... wow....

Well if you think about it Diablo 2 the bosses had huge item drop lists or rather bosses had the highest drop lists.

Taking the oculus as an example the best odds of getting it was to farm mephisto on nightmare (dont exactly remember) where it was a lvl77 item and he dropped lvl70-80 stuff. You could get lucky off a random mob but those were smaller odds.

Nealithok was the only mob in the game that could drop the constricting ring since his lvl was 95, 5 lvls higher than baal before they removed that item.

Although I think people are just alting and trying to get to inferno difficulty. If your talking about the boss runs on inferno maybe its just to get it over and done with.

Wow the rage is strong on those forums!*
*not really surprised...

Once again EU is down & out with the US being 100% happy.

Talk on the forum is to switch to the US servers and bring them down to get a decent response on the EU side... Sounds like a good plan if you ask me...

Uh....guys. Have any of you found Diablo 3 playable on a 1mbps line? I am hoping that if the 384k lines in EL are upgraded at some stage, I can get back to playing this game.

Not many people have talked about this, so i figured i'd post some info :P
After finishing the game on nightmare, i decided its time for Whimsyshire. For those that don't know, its basically the "cow level" of D3.
Spoiler alert for those that have not finished the game yet:

Spoiler for those that want to find out how it looks for themselves :P

Talk about a gory version of lala land
Don't underestimate their cuteness though, i had to run for my life two times
I kinda like it though, has potential for a gear farming area.

Finished the game for the first time on Friday night.

The sense of acomplishment was almost non-existent.

Last cut scene was very cheesy.

Diablo looks pathetic, not bulky enough in my opinion.

Honestly don't know if I will be finishing the game with any other class or on any other difficulty.

There's still time to get a refund.
Blizzard gives you 30 days after purchase.

All a matter of opinion I suppose, I've enjoyed immensely thus far, they seem to have sorted out the lag issues with the EU servers so had a pretty uninterrupted weekends worth. Just finished the Bastion's Keep quest where you defeat

the Lord of Gluttony
- now that was cheesy (and very simplistic) - my Barb's earthquake skill that adds 2000% damage just annihilates in situations like this - did get owned a few times by the mobs getting there though. Still would never consider the refund, am just enjoying the game for what it is, bucket-loads of fun.

The thing is, I did as well.. in the beginning.

But when I finished I asked myself: "continue on nightmare or start new class?"

I ended up starting a new class, played for 5 minues and thought" meh... who wants to go though all that again?" and logged off.

Haven't touched it sinse.

you're using the AH....

yellow drops are mostly meh.

legendary drops are either non-existent or meh.

sets are essentially non-existent, (apply to same math as winning the lotto).

the gold sinks are so clumsy they're shameful.

some of the random uniques are fun, but the balance are either frustratingly overpowered or just downright irritating - (those sand wasp things were a blast from the past... ever play daikatana?)

i've revised my score to 5/10. for the price, and the wait, the final product is meh.

Well I got the Horodric Hamburger yesterday (check it, its a legendary item) and laughed a good bit. Regardless of how fun Diablo 3 is I am still looking forward to torchlight 2 a great deal.
