On first glance it looks much better than Quickoffice, especially when it comes to Excel files. Quite a lot of functionality and the view is much better than it used to be. Quite chuffed! Still really happy with my phone.
Today only?? man you're behind! i've been running Belle on my E7 since March when it was released!
apart from one odd random lockup and reboot, i couldnt ask for a better phone... im waiting for a similar type of lumia phone... i refuse to do touch only!
Yeah, I knew about the upgrade for a while, but got inspired to upgrade after my bro got his Android phone. I don't think I will go Nokia again, mainly because of their move to Windows Phone 7.*, which I dislike almost as much as iOS for the same reasons. I wish they had kept developing Meego phones.Sad departure. My hope is, come next upgrade, that a Droid 5 or something will be available here.

i wont discard lumia, yet.. i have yet to play with one!
nokia still remains my preferred brand.. but i need a keyboard phone!
My E75 was brilliant! i only left it for the E7... which i wont be leaving any time soon!

thanks
According to MyBB, the Samsung Galaxy S111 will be released in SA by June/July 2012.
I got the One X 2 weeks ago. It's fantastic, really happy I waited.
It's on special with an included 75 Meg data bundle for R339 a month at MTN. I paid the same price 2 years ago for my Hero (As the top of the line model) and I still had to buy data on top of that, so it's definitely worth it!
And yes, it has NFC though I have no idea how it works yet.
My only complaint at the moment is the lack of accessories locally. I can't seem to find a genuine HTC car kit with the micro USB connectors or the dock- The leaf store has stock from 2009 still :/ (But HTC runs their own agency for MTN and vodacom now so I guess that will change)
Apple has requested permission from a US federal district court to file a motion for preliminary injunction against the sale of Samsung's upcoming Galaxy S III handset. Samsung recently announced that the device would launch later this month, and Apple is wasting no time trying keep that from happening.
Apple's motion was entered on Tuesday, according to FOSS Patents, just ahead of a scheduled hearing regarding a preliminary injunction against Samsung's Galaxy Nexus smartphone. The company says the Galaxy S III infringes on a patent related to its Siri-powered unified search—the Galaxy S III has a similar feature called "S Voice"—as well as a patent related to "data detectors."
Apple was granted an import ban against HTC smartphones over this same "data detectors" patent. It is related to a feature that automatically recognizes certain data types—such as addresses or phone numbers—and turns them into clickable links that optionally perform a map lookup, dial a phone number, or do some other action. HTC ultimately removed the feature from its latest devices to work around the ban.
Apple's motion is likely to be discussed at the hearing on Thursday. Apple's earlier attempt to gain an injunction against Samsung in a separate lawsuit was denied by Judge Judy Koh, who is also adjudicating the Nexus case. Apple has successfully appealed part of Koh's ruling related to patent validity, however, and may have another chance at an injunction later.
Meanwhile, Apple and Samsung have been busy giving oral arguments before the International Trade Commission, where Judge Thomas Pender has said he will use the "Cheech and Chong" test to determine if Samsung is violating Apple's iPhone and iPad design patents. The CEOs of both companies met recently to discuss a settlement to their ongoing mobile patent dispute, but the court-ordered mediation talks ended without a compromise in sight.
I found out this morning that one can take one's upgrade from the 21st month of one's 24 month contract.
So, with Cell C's revamped price plans being officially launched tomorrow, I'll start planning for my upgrade in July.
[Pretty happy with Symbian S40 at the moment though. Nokia 2710>Samsung Star]

Note to anyone looking at getting a Nokia/Windows Mobile device: DO NOT GET ONE! Microsoft will be updating to Windows Mobile 8 later this year and the current crop of phones are not going to be supported by Windows Mobile 8, they will only get 1 more update this year and thats it. So to be tied into a 2 year contract with a phone that will no longer be getting software support is not a good idea...
