atm I have CLEAVE and for those dammed wasps, I use THROW WEAPON which helps quite a bit (you talking bout the ones spewing those little poisonous bugs at you? or those group things you hardly see until they on you? )
That's the name of the skill I was talking about. And yes, I'm talking about the ones spewing those poison bugs. I can see how a ranged character would take those out easily, I have to race after them like a loon across the desert plains to kill them otherwise they keep coming back for more.

And I must admit, elective mode isn't all that helpful (yet) for a Barb, I find the slots locked in as default balance the Barb quite nicely.

Is it just me, but can't seem to find a quick way to switch rapidly between primary skills mapped to LMB. So when you get to a boss, for instance, I want cleave equipped to deal with the mobs and then switch quickly to Bash to deal with the boss himself, but that usually involves me dealing with the mob and hightailing it out of range of the boss to switch my master skill and wait for it to charge up.
well as I said, that is why I use THROW WEAPON so can take them on from distance. or I just LEAP to them.

and that is where ELECTIVE MODE seems to be very useful from some POV's. can put CLEAVE in slot 1 and then BASH in slot 2.

I will test that when I do my 2nd run, but for now I am just running everything stock.

I quite like playing dodge the green bugs . Yeah my Barb started sweating with the start of Act II and is still sweating all the way toward the end...

I hate those friggin imps that blow up on contact been killed a couple of times with them .

Two nights ago I tried playing and had horrendous lag, thought I could still play so off I went... Died in a mob of skeletons, so I respawn at my last checkpoint which also had a mob of skeletons now so you can guess what I did next... Rage quit because I died again because of lag...

4AM is the best time for me to play, green connection with no lag...

Logged in last night, had +1k ping in the middle of a mob... watched while my char got caned in updates 2 seconds apart, unable to portal or move...

after dying it "stabilised" at 400... playable but hiccuppy..

if this had been HC i would have been mailing canine poop to activision...

my wizard is breezing through act 2. it's disgusting how easy it is in comparison to the bleeding barb...

as an aside, while they haven't admitted that the AH was being robbed blind, they took it "down for maintenance" for most of yesterday...

The latency indicator in-game is not a simple ping like most games, and is actually a full process of the game sending an action to the service, the service processing it, and returning it to the client. This means that the latency indicator actually gives a more accurate account of what the experience is for game data, but in comparison to other games will seem high. We're more interested in issues where there is actual performance degradation, and certainly there may be, but the in-game latency number is not a simple ping and therefore shouldn't be used literally as a measurement against performance elsewhere.

Interesting ...yet beta my ping was still lower.

I only started struggling in act 4. But it went from steady increased difficulty to plain cruel death spikes. Died 3 times after going thru the first portal then died a couple of times on the Izual. Came near death in the silver spire a good few times.

Lol

To think people never really complained about these things in Diablo 2 or rather there weren't enough forums and internet access to complain. My argument is play your class and enjoy it. Balancing is an art that Blizzard hasn't nailed 100% yet. But if I think about balance then I have to say Red Alert 2 is still the most balanced game I ever played.

Shame, I've got my poor little USB Soulstone sitting feeling very unused with my copy of DII on it, haven't played for years, finished it once with a Paladin and never picked it up again

Wonder why they give us Diablo 2 with the collectors edition... Who wants to play Diablo 2, when you have Diablo 3?

Yeah yeah. Where is torchlight 2? Hopefully they get the stuff right.

Having diablo 3 run on a server is both good and bad. The good is that everyone gets the same lag/latency, drops from one person doesn't affect everyone since no one is the host. Dedicated servers ftw. But on the other hand your screwed already as your playing a game completely dependant on the functionality of the hosts server, in this case blizzard.

Dare I say it but after last night I got semi bored of Diablo 3. I started looking around for what was wrong with the game. It came down to I don't like the bulk of the games environments. Act 3 blows. Act 4 with heaven started out nice but after going thru the hell parts I kinda had enough.

The games best parts is act 1 up to leoric. Thereafter it goes downhill.

I'm going to make a statement here - health globes suck. Bring back potion spamming. My barb is getting into situations where my health is draining my kills aren't generating health globes and all the while my potions are recharging. Was much easier to just load up with like 500 potions and spam away, lol. I would have recommended having shorter recharger for lesser health potions, more health restored, greater the recharge period.

So after playing the other classes a bit I switched back to my demon hunter to continue the nightmarish experience. Act1 wasn't that hard but from act 2 I started suffering a bit.

Well I started raging tonight. Died so many times in act 3 and Diablo on act 4 is horrible. Only managed to beat him with a group of 4. Took 3 hours to get him down with the group disbanding and having to redo everything in the silver spire.

Hell is no joke. The game feels harder than a clean character in normal act1.

Weekend was too busy to get sufficient game time in, just defeated the witch in Act II and now down in the sewers. A few level-ups did the world of good for the mobs that I was battling with, love the Earthquake skill.
