hard drive error

using toshiba sat l310,after surviving the blue screen of death(system volume information corrupt)my pc is instructing me to replace my hard drive.The games are now crashing due to "disk errors",should i replace it or is my pc having an episode.Please advise,hdds are extreeemly expensive in zim

Well, back everything up first of all. Then I would run a scan disk to see if it finds errors and whether it can fix them. Take it from there.

Step 1 - eliminate Mugabe
Step 2 - replace the harddrive

My guess is your harddrive has bad sectors and it can no longer repair the file system. So a replacement might be your only option.

I tend to agree, but if you're concerned about the cost I would still first run a check and see.
