April Foolery
Have you been had, or has the media [%^$%# agents!] tried to con you into believing any of the traditional 1 April fabrications yet?
I see that MyBB got in early with a dubious story about ICASA announcing IP Connect price reductions. That is stretching credulity, isn't it?

Do you have a link to an article, or could you describe what they did for those of us without DSTV please?WiK1d wrote:I love Supersport's take at it.

Re: April Foolery
Well, they had this whole advert, on the 2012 Planking Season or whatever. Showing people planking, having interviews with "expert" plankers, veterans so to speak, interview with a rising up and coming planker. And I thought to myself, what in the name of crap is this?
Then they wrote, coming to you live from 1st of April. And I lol'd.
(Please note, I think planking is the most retarded thing ever invented, but this was quite funny)

Re: April Foolery
Its April fools tomorrow, mmm might explain this then. A friend went to get fuel today and they told him that they will be discontinuing lead replacement(has an old mazda 323) petrol soon. Either this is true or they were playing an April fools joke on him

Actually LRP is to be phased out by 2013 or the end of it. <- not april fools joke. I do believe there is a bottle that can be purchased from some retailers that has the needed chemicals but pretty much any car prior to 1995 will need to be replaced if your still planning on drive it rather than displaying it on the show room floor.

Re: April Foolery
Yeah - saw that 2nd one. But seriously - the educational software would be a good idea - they could teach them colours and give them multiple choice scenarios.

Re: April Foolery
That presumes that there were ever merits to adding lead to fuels in the first place. And I've repeatedly asked engineering people over the years and never had the same answer twice. (The only thing that the lead is supposed to do is stop your valve seats receding.)THE_STIG wrote:But not all cars before 1995, just the crumby ones.StarBound wrote:Actually LRP is to be phased out by 2013 or the end of it. <- not april fools joke. Re: April Foolery
So it turned out that the IP Connect price drop was NOT an April Fool's joke.
