good to see they been tweaking the monsters on NORMAL, but damn Skeleton was being a b*tch today.

maybe it was just cause of low damage weapons, but when I hit him with a Cleave, it would barely take out any health.

@rusty you also notice it? also, have you noticed the frequency of stuff dropping is pretty low?

I still have no luck with Blizzard Beta's - I'm 0/2 trying to get into them :(

Been watching heaps of youtube gameplay tho and it looks really easy.
Haven't seen anyone except for the odd solo'ing noob die in ages. Hopefully they ramp up the difficulties in the subsequent chapters

Not sure if it is my connection but it is really sticky. Getting to move and such is a problem and the fight with the skeleton is over before I actually see anything

yeah, I am thinking they may be doing something with servers cause yesterday on my "supposed" 300ms latency, the game was so jerky/laggy that I actually had to use health potions several times even just with small mobs.

got warped back so badly and even the family member from Auz said that it was horrid.

I still can't see how some people can't see any lag/jerking cause even on my lowest latency, when encountering bigger mobs, I en up getting warped, but not as bad as when on higher latency.

my DPS is a good portion lower than in the prior patch... SK is now almost challenging... i will say that the difficulty ramping is all over the place... all the chars struggle through a stage of flow-breaking "not doing enough damage" which just irritates...

drops have certainly reduced somewhat but are not indication of the final game as they've stated that beta content is nonsense on purpose...

most disconcerting is that the majority of registered bugs are still there... so, either the beta branch is focused primarily on net code or the launch is going to be a barrel of laughs...

personally, i feel that the rubber-banding isn't as severe - still there, but not as often nor prevalent as before... i would also note that it is especially noticeable during battle... you just can't reposition yourself which is a sure-fire recipe for suicide in some cases... got trapped on some stairs yesterday between a yellow boss mob and some blues and had no way of picking who i would take down first because i was bounced between them like a tennis ball... eventually just sat back and watched my monk die... :/

one hit kill  balance is still a biggie... especially if you're playing HC chars and this happens...

ah I did think it is just BETA based how the drops have reduced cause I think read somewhere people were asking about why so frequent drop of basically the same weapons/stuff.

one thing I also like is how the gold drops at least give you a little "bonus" now and then, and not just 1-2-3-4-5 gold drops, but 1 or 2 20+ drops.

haven't played Wizard again since latest patch, but one thing that I also find quite "balanced" in a sense that it happens quite perfectly timed, is the health globe drops. currently on a Barb again, and seeing as him and the Monk can take a little more damage than the others, the health globes don't drop with every single enemy you kill. before latest patch when I played a Wiz, almost every or at least every 2nd enemy dropped a globe, be it a small one or a big one.

lol, my leap is now basically just used to get out of those "sticky" situations :D

Time for a small update.

Create your banner has been started. Last week it was the demon hunter. This week its the barberians turn. Each week something will open up to view, just like the days before starcraft 2 got released.

Enjoy

Had untold trouble getting this to download. Is it true the actual download size is just 3.7gb?

A friend downloaded it, he also said 3.7 gig.
Still trying to get past the updating screen, haven't even started with the big download yet. For some reason mine is stuck. PC restart didn't help :(

Question: Anyone know if you can download this on one PC, then copy the installation files to another? Or does the installer delete the installation files after its done installing?

MIA, did you make sure it was stuck? by going into TASK MANAGER and making sure it isn't doing anything?

I ask cause that is what mine did... it would sit and do nothing on the actual download/install window, but going into TM you would see it is doing something.

also, if you did quit the installer and you relaunched it, you would notice it is further (if you did leave it for a while)

and yes, copying from another pc does work although I think Ana had some trouble.

he could answer better.

and yeah mine was also at around 3.7-4

Yea, task manager says the CPU usage stays under 5%. So i'm pretty sure its stuck. Also, if i close it and restart, it starts again where it stopped, it didnt go a little bit further as you mentioned.

Thing is, i havent even gotten to the download part. I just double click the 44mb file you download from their site and then it says updating setup files... and thats where it gets stuck.

EDIT: Gonna try and download it on another PC. Really hoping i can copy the install files, cause that'll probably be the only way i can get to play.

Ok I know the issue with this one.

Go to internet options in the control panel, CP -> internet/network -> internet options.
on the internet property tab go to connections. Select never dial.
I assume your using windows 7?
Go to the ProgramData folder (its hidden) and into the battle.net/agent/agent.868
Run the Agent.exe, then while its command tab is open go to where you downloaded the beta installer. Run that now.

Should bring you to the beta install screen.
Try running the agent.exe and installer in XP2 compatibility mode if they don't get to the downloader.

maybe the servers are also getting a bit of a hit now that it is OPEN BETA time.

should give it a try early morning when the Americans are still sleeping.

Thanks, something is happening now. The updating files window is still where it was, thought the agent.exe file is outputting loads of text.

Net limiter is also showing that agent.exe is downloading from the internet, though i'm not sure where its sending the files its downloading.
