Capped will get me full speed of 400-425kb a second. That will be 2gb an hour. So 4 hours and it will be gone.

as said, not taking the 4meg into account.

ran mine as well and it spiked quite a bit on both my Mweb and AH accounts.

well give me a shout if you then want to have a go at it.

Yes. The inherant problem in this case is no matter how powerful your pc is the games performance is out of your hands.

Should also say that the games been in developement for too long. Sure they can afford it but Diablo 3 has shifted a bit down the ranks in my book. Expectations is time based. The longer you take the higher the expectations and I doubt Blizz can deliver.

No worries :). Let me know how it goes :).

Tbh guess who still has their collectors on pre-order... :-( That's why I am really hoping to get a beta key at some point.

I get that...but then again, that's why it still isn't out yet...Even if it takes more time, it's what they do to make near perfect games, everytime...its Blizzard being Blizzard...I can wait, lots of other titles or online games to play until it's official release...

@OTC Launcher works, busy pulling the latest patch:
Diablo III Beta Patch 13 – v.0.7.0.8610

A number of significant changes have been made to the character skill and rune systems, as well as to the gold and currency-based auction houses. To learn more about these changes and why they were made, please read the Skill and Rune Changes blog written by Jay Wilson and the Beta Auction House Changes Incoming forum post.

General
All characters have been wiped. Please note that this wipe will also affect gold, achievements, items, followers, and artisans.
Intelligence now grants 0.1 per point to resistances, and will no longer award any bonus to healing from health globes
When dual-wielding, certain skills will now always use your main-hand weapon to determine damage
For example, Cyclone Strike will use your main-hand weapon damage even if your off-hand weapon is set to swing next
An option to permanently enable Advanced Tooltips has been added to the Gameplay Options

Auction House
The gold auction house is once again available for testing
The listing fee for all auctions has been removed
The transaction fee for auctions in the currency-based auction house has been increased to 1.25 Beta Bucks
The minimum listing price for an item in the currency-based auction house has been increased to 1.50 Beta Bucks
Players may now only have 10 active auctions per auction house
Tooltips have been added which will allow players to compare items on the auction house to the items they're currently wearing
Battle.net
Public chat is now available to test
Cross-game support has been added! You can now chat with Real ID friends playing the World of Warcraft PTR or StarCraft II PTR, as well as view their in-game status.
Skills
The levels at which both active and passive skills unlock have been adjusted for all classes
Skill runes are now available for testing
The first skill rune will unlock for all characters at level 6, and players can unlock additional runes as they level up
In total, players will be able to gain access to 5 skill runes for each skill by level 60
Character skills have been broken down into categories, and each category has been assigned to a specific mouse button or action bar slot in the skill UI
The following categories will be shared by all classes:
Primary Attack
"Primary Attack" applies to skills that typically generate resources and can be used frequently
By default, Primary Attack is assigned to the first mouse button
Secondary Attack
"Secondary Attack" applies to more powerful skills that are commonly limited by a cooldown or resource cost
By default, Secondary Attack is assigned to the second mouse button
Defensive
"Defensive" applies to skills which can be used to escape or control the flow of combat
By default, Defensive is assigned to the first action bar quick slot
Each class will also have three additional categories which are unique. By default, these categories will be assigned to the second, third, and fourth quick slots in the main action bar.
Elective Mode: For players who wish to explore character builds which cannot be accomplished with the provided categories, an “Elective Mode” has been provided. When activated, Elective Mode will allow you to place any skill in any skill category slot, as freely as you could before.
To enable Elective Mode, simply check the corresponding box located in the Gameplay Options menu.
The cooldown on swapping skills has been decreased from 30 seconds to 15 seconds

 I have been a bit spammy

My thoughts on the game.

The good its still has the feel of 1 & 2 when going killing things. The lore in the game is fantastic as usual.

The bad not being able to assign my own skill points this therefore makes the game more a monster spam kill fest than anything else.

The ugly is of course the consistent requirement for single player offline play, currently on a 384k line that is not shaped it lags and it lags heavy. You take a swing at a monster and sometimes you have a second delay before the hit even registers this has the effect of making me lose all seriousness of the game, was nearly killed on "Normal" mode by 3 champion class monsters because of the lag and on "Normal" thats unheard of. Then you get to co-op mode which was nearly unplayable for me and at times unplayable for my partner, his witch doctor was levelling up faster than my monk purely because when I thought I was attacking a group of monsters I was actually attacking a tree :?.

This game needs some heavy polish on the online front and I would love to see a offline mode sneak into the full release but sadly I dont see that happening any time soon. My advice to anyone who is looking to buy this game upgrade to a line speed faster than 384 otherwise you are going to lag unless Blizzard finds some magical code that will prevent the lag...

Side note I love destroying book cases only to see scrolls of identify and town portal fall to the ground .

/Thanks OTC for letting me trial it out, really appreciate it. I will be keeping my pre-order purely because I love the lore in Diablo and am excited to see that it has pretty much stayed intact.

see, this bugged me as well but, as my boss helpfully pointed out, it was more hindrance than anything else in an action title. *

while having the facility to tweak your char was great, the approach was almost always the same - magic users you'd buff health+mana, ranged users health+dex and close quarter combat health+strength... all that happens now is an optimal assignment in the background based on this approach without your fumble-fingered twiddling...

the one addition i love is the crafting... it's effective out of the box and well worth investing in...

<edit>
*forgot to mention that elective mode is still there, just buried in the options menu... so you can still tweak to your heart's content... :P

my DH is now 13 but the highest i hit in one run was 9... that appears standard...

multiplay certainly bumped that up, though. I hit 7 in an hour and a bit with Anakha56 so MP is probably the better option, (also better mobs/drops)...

they must have dropped XP gain quite a bit as I told Ana, cause all the Youtube vidz I watched, the guys would reach lvl 13.

my Barb and my Monk was both lvl 9 when I finished and only my Monk has been lvl'd to 10 cause I redid some of the quests.

yeah can already notice that when you have your Templar, the mobs are already bigger than when you are alone.

as i read it, the buffs are balanced between party members... so someone enjoying an 8% chance of magic drops would lose half that if someone joins who has no buff?

4-party MP :D and some whining about dying too often says some of the play balance has been resolved
