@jwilkens post a score from the extreme preset and i will award you a license for 3D Mark 11 professional if you beat my score that I set a few pages back.

Re: 3DMark 11
sadly the GTX 590 went back to the supplier yesterday but I plan to unleash a Core i7 2600K and two HD 6990s in Crossfire and see what score I get.
PS. jwilkens, you have a license code in your inbox. enjoy and well done.

I need to do a fresh OS install, my GT 4 score is inconsistent in both the performance and xtreme presets. Its either drivers not working well or background applications. I do get well over X5000 points but not consistently.
Will try and do it over the next day or so to see if it improves anything.

Re: 3DMark 11
sadly as I remember from my HD 6990 crossfire article (PCFormat June 2011 issue - in this issue you will find my review of the GTX 590 as well.) the performance scaling is not what I hoped for. I am therefore only going to run one for my main benching then I will try the crossfire setup

Re: 3DMark 11
Still awesome bro... just keen to see oh awesome.... keen to see what those reviews hold... and thats kind of a bummer that they dont scale well.... but post single gpu scores like u say still keen to see them!

@ juDge: Nice score. I see that we have very similar setups.

Yeah our setups are very similar. Are you overclocking your card at all? I also get that dumb message saying my score is lower than similar machines like mine

Re: 3DMark 11
Incase everyone is wondering the post above is not mine. I don't have 3D mark 11... or a Radeon 7970.
Re: 3DMark 11
It's mine and no I'm not StarBound.
Finally getting the hang of this but the score is still lower than it should be. So there's something I'm missing obviously. I'd like to see 24K next at lower GPU speeds because it is possible. I think

Re: 3DMark 11
I'm still considering pushing my system to 4.5ghz on 1.36V. You have 1.392V? That is a dangerous number. How stable is your system? What cooling are you using and whats your power supply?
Re: 3DMark 11
Hahah, no 1.392 is low man.
Nothign dangerous about that really. Just need to watch the temps. Keep in mind as well that the CPU Vcore is dependant on many other things, so while a high Vcore is certainly not a good idea. less than 1.45 or even 1.5V is ok provided it's not 24/7 setting, the cooling and other voltages as well.
So keeping tabs on CPU PLL VTT, VSA, VDimm etc is recommended. Auto overclocking on most boards tend to overdo the voltage on many of these
Oh forgot to add, PSU isn't an issue total power draw from the wall, is less than 1KW, just under though. It does go as high as 980Watts, so provided power to the system is closer to 850 to 880Watts
Using ANTEC HC 1200, all air cooling save for CPU which uses stock INTEL.Asetek Cooler
