I was thinking of getting and ATI/AMD graphics card, but theres no PhysX.
Does PhysX make a difference or is it nonsense

Its just extra load on your PC. If any game uses good physics its usually havok or self made. The only 2 games with physx that matters at this moment is Batman Arkham Asylum / City.
