As is with personal experience, I do believe that Half-Life 2 will be horribly unsatisfying. I scoped the internet for weeks prior to the release of Mission Impossible 2, trying to find premieres, early releases etc. And it sucked when I actually watched it.

Grim's Law 1 : Anticipation breeds over-expectation.

Dude seeing your new here I'm gonna let that 1 slip.

Hello & welcome! This is a lovely place to be. :P

Now do yourself a favor & read this thread start to finish.

There's no more "hype" to this game! :!: It has been played & reviewed by the best in the industry! :!: There now remains only hard evidence! :!:

Well,

Once again, views differ. Dunno, but I think that the hype over the release and anticipation of this game caused the developers to rush a couple of the aspects to finish it...

Maybe I'm right, maybe I'm wrong, maybe the world ends tomorrow and it doesn't matter when it is to be released.

But you thought wrong.

I have read many interviews/articles and I have even watched a documentary on the game - this was one title were money and time were absolutely no issue. Valve were able to privately fund the game and were therefore in charge of the entire project - there were no money hungry publishers funding the project and demanding a hasty release.

So Rayne, why are you always up so late?

My reason... I got into this cycle after my last exam... I only wake up at 11:00-12:00.. so I'm only tired around 02:00.

I take a cat-nap form 17:00 - 18:00 & a proper sleep no later than 02:00 - 08:00 so as to be ready for work by 09:00. As I work from home there's no rush. If I go to bed early I somehow wake up tired.

This works for me though. I still manage my 7 hours sleep.

Then it's worded incorrectly on the site. It says it's been released and available to order now, not pre-order.

Then they've probably changed it to get more sales out. Previously it said it was ready to order, but will only ship on its release, ie. the 16th.

Same as Kalahari. They constantly put games on their front page saying its available when its still ages away.

Must have ordered mine 2 weeks ago, and still no show.

The game will ship on the 16th and you will get it on the 17th. The reason both Kalahari and Take2 let you order it so early is to avoid disappointment if they do not get enough stock. Hence, if you order it 2 weeks in advance then you are guaranteed a copy!!!! Now that is service!!!! with a smile (from me) :D

Moses and I once had a deal goin, that we would get up before 7:00 and whoever didn't had to pay the other oke R10. I WORKED LIKE A BOMB!!!! To bad we aren't doing it now, in the most important time of the year.... VARSITY EXAMS :?

HALF-LIFE 2 I WANT YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!! AAAAAHHHHHAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That game is going to be so amazing, words will only do it injustice!!!
