I'll download that and run some benchies tonight but those speeds seem a bit slow.

Those were my thoughts exactly...

Thanks! Would be nice to see a comparison...

If I am not mistaken, doesn't it also come down to the Sata Controller on your Mobo?

Not so sure about that. The other thing that plays a big role in SSD speed is the capacity- for insrtance a 240GB Agility3 will be faster that the 120GB- I forgot why though. Most of the advertised speeds of the SSDs are those of the larger drives in that series.

Ok here are my benchmarks. Sorry I won't be posting pics however if someone would like the screenshots to upload them just pm me and I will mail them to you.

Intel X-25M 160GB G2 (read/write)
Seq: 253mb/78mb
4K: 19mb/29mb
4K-64Thread: 148mb/40mb
Acc.time: 0.158ms/0.118ms

Kingstone V128
Seq: 235mb/131mb
4K: 8.9mb/11.7mb
4K-64Thread: 10mb/10mb
Acc.time: 0.418ms/0.77ms

OCZ Agility 3 240GB
Seq: 211mb/163mb
4K: 15mb/33mb
4K-64Thread: 128mb/111mb
Acc.time: 0.225ms/0.293ms

All drives are running in AHCI mode... or RAID set to AHCI. Then the Intel is running on the P55 chipsets SATA3 while the Kingstone and OCZ are both running on the Marvel SATA6 controller. This makes me believe that the 2 drives arent running as they should be running.

Will download that and post screenshots tomorrow when I am at home. BTW Molean what reg tweaks are you talking about regarding SSD performance? I just made sure it was plugged into SATA 3, set to AHCI and installed Windows from scratch.

Here is a nice guide from Toms Hardware that will give you the whole rundown of what tweaks you can apply.

Hope that helps!
