I was given a cortex M4 Eval Kit for my involvement in the Solar Car Project at Varsity.
Figured I'd give some impressions compared to other products I've used such as AVR and Arduino...
First impressions:
Hardware is well thought out, the board has been planned well and there is easy access to a number of features. All the pins are broken out, something that is lacking on the Atmel boards.
Software is lousy. I've been through 3 attempts to install it. I get errors and crashing at every turn... Also has a lot of packages to install and very poor guidelines on what's what...
Further impressions once the software is running.
