Re: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Some people pay R5000 for a screen to actually use those frames that are more than 60

Re: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Yeah, I suspect that this game is going to take my Old Faithful system (Q6600 + GTX260) and spit it straight back out.

Re: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Look at it this way. The game is coming out for xbox 360 and ps3. With those boxes ticked you can be sure that even Rons "old faithfull" can run the game. If you have an i7 and either high end gfx from last year or midrange gfx from this year your games should not have had framerate issues unless the programming in that game is *****.
Re: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
I guess if it's going to be ported from the console, then it won't be so heavy on systems....but maybe they'll be nice and make the graphics UBER awesome on the P.C version, lol!

Re: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Well I have been looking for a valid reason to upgrade my desktop......... wonder if this will fly?
Re: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
I can't say I've ever needed a valid reason to spend money, but this should be as good a reason as any, lol! Unfortunately Fishing and PC's are two of my favorite things, and both are very expensive hobbies when you do them properly which is the only way to do things, lol!!

Off-topic, but if you think that Wii's lead to drunken video embarrassment... stay far away from Kinect.J_Bay wrote:Lol, Wii is banned from my place...too much chance for drunken video embarrassment!!
(Been there, done that, the bloody thing took the photos!)
On-topic - will be waiting for the Steam special as well. The only time that I fork out for collectors editions is when the game in question is made by Blizzard.

Re: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
So the problem with Oblivion and Fallout 3 were that the pretend RPG mechanics had no effect on how you played the game, so they make Skyrim linear to force certain elements into play. Interesting.

What weapons would you prefer to see in Skyrim? Giant Squeaky Hammer of Acute Discomfort? Cunningly disguised bunnies?
