Do you have a graphics card to match? Your parts look solid.

Thanks for the welcome

I will be upgrading my graphics card in 2 months, once i have saved a little bit more money.

Welcome to the forums:)
Yup it looks good so far... You didn't specify a cpu cooler? Do you plan on using the stock cooler? And what do you plan on mainly using your computer for? Because then we could help you choose which parts would suit you best:)

Hi Slimshaedy

I didn't even think about the cpu cooler, I usually just use the stock cooler. The pc will be used at home for gaming (crysis, far cry and call of duty) and for some work (after effects and maya) hope this helps a bit.

Ok so non overclock. Your games should run ok for a while. Starcraft 2 might run around 30fps or so. My bro had a 8800gt aswell for a while with his i7 but a 460gtx cleared that up.

So I guess the next question is are you going for a single card solution afterwards?

Hi starbound

I have been looking at Gigabyte GeForce GTX560 Ti for my upgrade on gfx card.

I have never done SLI before and dont think i could afford it so yeah probably single card for me.

Good choice. Even a single card should let you hit 60fps in most games so you should be set unless your looking at a 120hz monitor.

The 560Ti is an excellent choice! But may I suggest you get a slightly cheaper cpu? The 2600K is used more for overclocking, you could save a bit of money on the plain i7 2600? The K series will always leave you with the option to overclock if you wanted to, but the choice is yours:)

I could fork out a litlle more on the GA-P67A-UD4-B3 then i could in future overclock and go SLI, but that seems to be opening a new can of worms lol

Depends what your budget is like. But I mean if you're keeping the stock cooler, the last thing I'd expect to find underneath it is a 2600K! But if you plan on overclocking in the future then I understand.. I was going to do the same, but the stock cooler hurts my eyes haha, and I went with a huge air cooler that's doing a wonderful job:)

Budget is slightly flexible so for a few extra bucks with more potential for the "future" does not sound to bad. I am ordering from rectron and the only cpu coolers they have are GIGABYTE® G-POWER II PRO, GIGABYTE® G-POWER II and GIGABYTE® X-POWER.

I would rather wait till u gather up enough money for a decent cooler hey. You get a Coolermaster Hyper TX3 I think it was? They cost around R150 - R160 and they cool pretty damn well... And then you can pay up to around R700 for the best air coolers... So R160 isnt too expensive and you can get that when u plan to overclock your cpu. You could overclock with the stock cooler of course, but u just gota keep an eye
on the temperature.

By overclocking you won't notice a speed increase in games, perhaps in your work you might see a difference. It all depends what you plan on using the computer for...
