/not sure if this is in the right place but hey...
Greetings All,
For the last couple of days I have been attempting to get a timer display overlayed onto a normal video. Not a easy task in Adobe Premiere Elements 4 but after some fiddling and watching youtube vids I was finally able to do it. Now I have just had the Engineer come back to me asking if he could get that timer overlay to be controllable. Now to my mind this is not possible and I asked him why not just pause the timer by pressing spacebar but the response was "Thats not good enough".
So I have come to the forum for some assistance, can this be done? If it can whats the term for it so I get precise Google hits and can it be done in Adobe Premiere Elements?
*edit*
Or would I have to make it a flash file for this work?

No clue but I would guess it would have to be a flash or something.
