Found this.
I no longer think of myself as Atheist however I reject religion as a concept where you must do x because someone says so. May contain nuts.

Re: Radeon HD6870 Crossfire
Metro favours nvidia cards though. Going for crossfire will be your cheapest option in getting more fps though. Just dont know if your psu will be able to handle it. Just check the psu calculator.
Re: Radeon HD6870 Crossfire
Yeah, from what I see the 6870 card crossfire very well with close to a 100% increase. I checked psu calc out and it says that with crossfire it will use 484w...so should be ok?StarBound wrote:Metro favours nvidia cards though. Re: Radeon HD6870 Crossfire
484/0.8 = 604. It might be ok but 600w will be safer.

+1 Starbound
dude if i remember correctly a 600-650W psu is recommended for xfire so i would get a stronger psu before going xfire

Re: Radeon HD6870 Crossfire
That calculator works it out on a 90% load so you might make it. But even with that calculator I still do a division by 80% since your looking for a 80PLUS psu. All that it means is should all components draw power equal to 80% of your psu output at the same time your psu shouldnt blow.
Re: Radeon HD6870 Crossfire
And here I thought the 80PLUS/90PLUS/xPLUS indicated ideal efficiency states, not non-blowupability states.
+1 on a *GOOD QUALITY* 660+W PSU BTW.
