Careless/embarassing/silly errors in various publications

Post by StarPhoenix »

From time to time, I come across peculiar entries in the tender bulletins I read through every morning.

I thought I'd start sharing them with you:

From the latest tender bulletin on the Eastern Cape Provincial Government website:
Appointment of a service provider to provide and implement Residential Care Programmes to Children Awaiting Trial and Execution
That'll teach them!

...and they are going to wait for the adult criminal poulation to die off?

Thanks for a good chuckle :)
"Integrity" and "integer" both contain a Latin root meaning "whole; complete." The root sense, then, is that people may be said to be acting with integrity when their beliefs, words, and actions have a sense of unity or wholeness.

There is a local tyre merchant: Marius Koekemoer Bande. The company that did his signage misspelled it Maruis Koekemoer Bande on everything from his shop to his bakkie and he is still driving around like that years later.

A while back The Sun had 'Win a goat' which I found strange since all other news papers give away cars, trips away, rubbish albums by bands desperate for the exposure. Still appropriate for the readership so can't argue.
