Hey it's an acceptable solution to other epidemics that doesn't have cures and that mostly doesn't pertain to people. It will also prevent other productive individuals from accidentally getting infected

Yes "For the greater good" I'm sure those unfortunate to have been accidentally infected would agree it is better for all in the long run
