Would I buy a Wii U? Truth be told I would. I can play all my old wii games on it and its hopefully a tad more up to date than the xbox and the ps3. But its next year and there hasnt been said when next year. For all we know its Japan at christmas and then 2013 for the rest of the world.

Did you see it? IT can do things they do on Hawaii 5.0 I want to be able to share stuff with the TV like that - oh wow. And the way it communicates and interacts - it would be so much fun. And the drawing tools - my oh my.

The team from THQ who is doing Metro:Last light(now for the Wii U also) said the Wii U is more powerfull than the PS3. The fact alone that is can play a Metro game already tells me this thing is going to be a monster. However I do hope they release alternative remotes without the chunky screen.
Imagine having to play Tekken(now for the Wii U also) with that huge thing.

Metro 2033 on xbox and on pc were completely different tech levels. But would you want a real looking Zelda? or would you want a cartoon looking zelda with much finer detail?

What I'm trying to point out is that the console isn't mainly focused on casual gaming anymore. It's now for everyone. Now you can play Nintendo exclusives and big boy games on the same console. The need for a PS3 or Xbox is somehow eliminated unless you want the xbox/ps3 exclusives which in some time will no longer be exclusives.

True but the screen resolution is about the same is standard definition. A cross between SD and HD720. I'm not one for hand held systems. I've tried playing my brothers psp. I've played on a gameboy ages ago. I'd rather have a big screen.

I agree but there are times you cannot take the big screen with you

Far Cry 3 looks awesome! The gameplay walkthrough trailer on youtube somewhere.
Battlefield3's multiplayer sounds pretty solid and MW3s coop as well. Metro Last Light is on my want list however I'm not too concerned about the footage at E3 because the game should not change that much.

Still the biggest news must be with the WiiU.

The MW3 15minute gameplay didnt look too good. The trailer looked much more interesting. But with the MW3 gameplay I thought: A) its been done before, B) it looks the same as 5 years ago. That is not a good way to start a game 5 games down the line.

...and it will probably be hellishly expensive-the controller alone is probably going to cost a tidy sum.
