Man, I just finished a great movie. It's Hereafter, with Matt Damon, directed by Clint Eastwood.

It's about the hereafter of course, with Matt Damon being a psychic, but its was really deep and emotional with a great atmosphere. I expected another ghost thriller or something and what I got was something completely different and refreshing. I love a good movie!

Just Watched, The Resident. Slow simmering Thriller that doesn't really do anything new for the genre. It tries to be creepy and/or freaky but doesn't work. It was, to say the least, cliched and boring. Things should have happened alot faster and I felt the antagonist wasn't really suited for the part. Worth the watch if you are easily creeped out or are a fan of Hilary Swank.

Just Watched, X-men - First Class. To be frank, I think it's one of the best X-men films yet. It was so refreshing to have a younger set of characters and for the film not to surround Wolverine the whole time. Lots of mutants, cool effects and a nice story that shows us how everything began. I was entertained from start to end. Everyone played their parts perfectly. Only gripe I could give the film is that certain characters are just placed in the movie to fill the screen and don't mean anything to the story, but given the kind of film it is, was going to happen. I have also read that some people feel it's a tad too long or that it drags, but I didn't feel it at all. I kept wondering what was going to happen next or where the story was going to take us. Worth the watch if you are a fan of the X-men, enjoy anything superhero related or wanting to watch an action with a difference.

Has anyone seen the trailer for No Greater Love or watched it? It's a Christian movie about a guy who lost his wife and years later finds out that she works at a church nearby.

It's starting by us this Friday. Watched Pirates IV last night, but it didn't wow me as much as the previous ones, even though Penelope Cruz is one seriously attractive woman.

No Greater Love does sound interesting...

I hate trailers....especially trailers for comedies...the only trailer I do like was done by Director Alfred Hitchcock, he put a great spin on them...

LoTR collectors edition Blu-Ray drops here this week - got mine pre-ordered.
All 3 movies in 1920×1080 glory, plus 15 hours of behind the scenes and other crap I'll probably never watch.

So sue me because I like a movie that the great and all-knowing Jamin doesn't approve of. :?

Have the standard edition The Lord of the Rings Blu-ray set, but would also like to get the extended editions.

It's not that I don't approve of it, it's just that why would RRF want to watch it on blu-ray on a Saturday night. There was nothing amazing about the animation on Despicable Me that would warrant a blu-ray screening.

Tron was meh, but it would look very good on blu ray. Inception was a good choice.

My 3 would be The Dark Knight, Saving Private Ryan (mainly for the storm the beach scene - but the rest is good too) and Iron Man
I saw Iron Man a few weeks ago on blu-ray and it was awesome.

Cause it's a cool movie, that's all.

The Rock would also be cool in Blu-ray.
